Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ famously turbulent marriage began in 1981, and the royal couple separated in 1992.
The Prince and Princess of Wales had not made plans to divorce, however Charles’ 1994 interview with Jonathan Dimbleby exposed the cracks in the failing marriage, when he admitted to having been unfaithful to his wife.
