Clarence House’s response to request for comment on Prince Charles and Camilla divorce rumours – Bristol Post

The spokesman for Clarence House, the official London residence of The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, has been pressed for comment on reports the royal pair are in divorce proceedings. A well-read Australian magazine claims a royal source told them that Prince Charles is consulting with divorce lawyer, Fiona Shackleton, and he and Camilla intend to divorce soon. Shackleton is the same lawyer Charles used when he divorced Princess Diana in 1996. Clarence House was asked if the royal family would make a statement about the claims first published in New Idea magazine. The spokesman refused to be drawn on it however, telling Cornwall Live: "It is not something we would comment on." The Express reports royal followers are outraged by the unsubstantiated claims.
